- Lot Description
.577 caliber, 39 in. barrel stamped "25" twice and secured by three bands, rear distance sight, lockplate marked 1862 /TOWER with crown behind the hammer, walnut stock fitted with brass furniture to include buttplate, nose cap and trigger guard. Fitted with a linen sling and having an Enfield socket bayonet.Only very light oxidation to ferrous elements; repairs to the left side of the stock below the rear sight and back to the breech; crazing to the leather loops on sling.
