- Lot Description
oil on canvas, signed at lower left, presented in a later carved and silvered frame retaining a J. J. Gillespie of Pittsburgh label on the verso.SS 19.5 x 23.75 in.; DOA 25.5 x 29.5 in.Accompanied by a small collection of clippings from the consignor's grandmother. Family history relates that Mrs. Arthur Brockway was gifted this painting by the president of Bethlehem Steel Corporation.
Condition
Light surface grime; minor craquelure; small paint flake near center of canvas; some minor lifiting and small paint flakes along right hand side of painting.
