antique, shares similar features with Ming dynasty sculpture, the figure is seated in vajraparyankasana on a lotus throne, the right hand held in bhumisparshamudra, the left in dhyanamudra; with a serene expression and wearing a seven tiered crown with central carving of Buddha; appears to retain original polychrome paint with gesso below.38 in.Flaking to paint; central point of crown missing; three fingers re-attached; some stable cracks.
