About Artwork: "Vintage Ice Cream Scoop" is from Kelsey Irvin's series of sketches of objects, particularly vintage or nostalgic items. These objects often show up in her Storyline Panel series, as well as within sketchbooks themselves sometimes hidden in her figurative work. Driven to bring new life to objects that may otherwise have been lost in time, Kelsey Irvin finds herself collecting traces of lives lived - "memories misplaced in need of recognition." Reaching for a balance between the past and the present, her work exudes a deep sense of nostalgia. Kelsey's work is represented by eight galleries and is in public and private collections worldwide. Over the past 20 years she has exhibited in gallery & museum exhibitions and she currently co-owns Kelsey Michaels Fine Art and is a team artist for Museum of Make Believe. Kelsey Irvin is an artist dedicated to preserving forgotten memories by incorporating vintage ephemera into her work, blending drawing, painting, and collage to create a distinctive style. Her art explores the balance between past and present, evoking a strong sense of nostalgia. A graduate of St. Lawrence University, she later moved to Southern California, where she continues her creative journey. Her pieces are part of public and private collections in the U.S., Italy, Dubai, Greece, Singapore, and China. Irvin's work is also featured in the International Museum of Collage, Assemblage, and Construction in Santa Fe, NM, and she has exhibited at institutions such as the Laguna Art Museum, Pensacola Museum of Art, and Marin Museum of Contemporary Art. Through her art, she seeks to honor forgotten lives by transforming aged materials into contemporary works that endure over time.
