About Artwork: "Tell Me When It's Over" is part of my series, "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)." I wanted to create a body of work that felt like the 1980s but without necessarily looking like it was made during the 1980s. I sought to capture a vibe, a moment in time, when music and culture were exciting and even a little dangerous. Visually, the work is informed by punk and new wave graphics, which themselves were greatly influenced by the Pop Art movement and the French New Wave cinema of the 50s and 60s.
About Artist: Tony Pinto is an accomplished designer and art director with over two decades of experience, collaborating with notable clients such as Disney, Edison, Cedars-Sinai, and Kaiser Permanente. In recent years, his focus has shifted to designing books for art museums, galleries, and artists, overseeing projects from cover to cover and often taking on a producer role to enhance the final product. Pinto is also a skilled photographer, specializing in capturing portraits of artists, and is a fine artist with expertise in painting, drawing, photography, and screen printing, frequently showcasing his work in exhibitions. As a long-standing member of AIGA, the national design organization, he has contributed to the local chapter as a board member. With diverse creative interests ranging from books and architecture to underground comics and the New York art and music scene of the 1970s and 80s, Pinto remains deeply immersed in the artistic community, often attending art openings in Los Angeles on weekends.

Artwork will not be made available for pick up or delivery unless or until the Museum receives in clear funds all amounts payable to it.
With notice to Museum, you may elect to pick up the Artwork from the Museum’s main address at 307 Cliff Drive beginning Monday, March 3rd . Please call 949 494-8971 or artauction@lagunaartmuseum.org to schedule pick up.
Artworks remaining at Museum after March 9th that have not been arranged for pick will be sent to Elite Art Enterprises, LLC in the Los Angeles area to assist with delivery, installation, crating, shipping, storage or any other needs you might have in regard to transportation of your newly acquired artworks. Fees for the above services are set and collected by Elite Art Enterprises, LLC.

If you fail to make arrangements to retrieve artwork either by pick up or delivery after fifteen (15) business days of the Fall of the Hammer, the Museum will be entitled to exercise remedies available under the law.
Insurance: Once the hammer falls, the risk associated with the artwork is transferred to the buyer. Hence, the buyer is solely responsible for arranging insurance coverage for the artwork. The Museum does not provide transit insurance for artworks sold through auctions. If you request delivery of the artwork, the Museum will not be responsible for any loss or damage caused during transit.
