About Artwork: This painting from Mars' live music series captures a singer mid-flight as they leap into the unknown. Inspired by the Doors frontman, Jim Morrison, and his proactive stage antics, this painting draws upon multiple photographs and drawings to construct a new image of the iconic singer.
About Artist: Adam Mars, an MFA graduate from Otis College of Art and Design, began designing custom clothing in 2017 for indie rock band The Growlers and has since created outfits for notable artists like Post Malone, Axl Rose, and Billie Eilish. His designs have been showcased during Post Malone's Beerbongs and Bentleys and Runaway tours, as well as Axl Rose's appearances in Guns N' Roses tours from 2019 to 2023. Mars' custom outfits have been featured in major media outlets like Rolling Stone, BBC, and Variety, and in 2021, he became the first artist to collaborate with John John Florence's brand, Florence Marine X. His artworks are part of esteemed collections, including the Museum of Art and History and The Cosmopolitan Hotel, and his exhibitions have been highlighted by Interview Magazine and Artforum. Additionally, Mars published a memoir, Unreal for Real, in 2018 and debuted as a singer-songwriter in 2020 with the single "Don't Be My Nicotine."

Artwork will not be made available for pick up or delivery unless or until the Museum receives in clear funds all amounts payable to it.
With notice to Museum, you may elect to pick up the Artwork from the Museum’s main address at 307 Cliff Drive beginning Monday, March 3rd . Please call 949 494-8971 or artauction@lagunaartmuseum.org to schedule pick up.
Artworks remaining at Museum after March 9th that have not been arranged for pick will be sent to Elite Art Enterprises, LLC in the Los Angeles area to assist with delivery, installation, crating, shipping, storage or any other needs you might have in regard to transportation of your newly acquired artworks. Fees for the above services are set and collected by Elite Art Enterprises, LLC.

O: (562) 319-8060If you fail to make arrangements to retrieve artwork either by pick up or delivery after fifteen (15) business days of the Fall of the Hammer, the Museum will be entitled to exercise remedies available under the law.
Insurance: Once the hammer falls, the risk associated with the artwork is transferred to the buyer. Hence, the buyer is solely responsible for arranging insurance coverage for the artwork. The Museum does not provide transit insurance for artworks sold through auctions. If you request delivery of the artwork, the Museum will not be responsible for any loss or damage caused during transit.
