About Artwork: I was recently invited to a friend's home for dinner. It was a casual get together where burgers were on the menu. For many years I have painted cheeseburgers made by well known fast food joints like In-n-Out Burger and Mcdonalds. At dinner that night I was inspired to paint the cheeseburger that I made from the fixings laid out by friends on the kitchen counter. This custom burger was made with fresh, healthy ingredients and tasted like love."
About Artist: Salamon has exhibited widely for 30 years. He has had 5 solo museum shows, over 30 solo gallery shows and is in over a dozen permanent museum collections. Salamon has been a long-time Southern California resident, and graduated summa cum laude from California State University, Los Angeles. After being the official artist for the Grammy Awards in the 1990s, Salamon began painting more personal work of his family, friends, and fellow artists. Portraiture has remained a significant interest throughout his career. His subjects currently vary widely from narrative scene paintings to allegorical compositions, historical objects and still-lifes of everyday pleasures. Recent work includes large portraits of artists and societal trailblazers using drafting pencils on multiple sheets of vellum paper or charcoal on unstretched, unprimed canvas, abstractions, and Modernist scene paintings with abstracted passages. Salamon has produced dozens of short films, creates figurative sculptures in various mediums and is also a museum curator and punk rock musician.

Artwork will not be made available for pick up or delivery unless or until the Museum receives in clear funds all amounts payable to it.
With notice to Museum, you may elect to pick up the Artwork from the Museum’s main address at 307 Cliff Drive beginning Monday, March 3rd . Please call 949 494-8971 or artauction@lagunaartmuseum.org to schedule pick up.
Artworks remaining at Museum after March 9th that have not been arranged for pick will be sent to Elite Art Enterprises, LLC in the Los Angeles area to assist with delivery, installation, crating, shipping, storage or any other needs you might have in regard to transportation of your newly acquired artworks. Fees for the above services are set and collected by Elite Art Enterprises, LLC.

O: (562) 319-8060If you fail to make arrangements to retrieve artwork either by pick up or delivery after fifteen (15) business days of the Fall of the Hammer, the Museum will be entitled to exercise remedies available under the law.
Insurance: Once the hammer falls, the risk associated with the artwork is transferred to the buyer. Hence, the buyer is solely responsible for arranging insurance coverage for the artwork. The Museum does not provide transit insurance for artworks sold through auctions. If you request delivery of the artwork, the Museum will not be responsible for any loss or damage caused during transit.
