The artist materializes concepts through color palettes, mediums, and techniques found in California manufacturing industries. His aesthetics often blur the lines between painting, sculpture, and minimalist design disciplines, drawing inspiration from various subject matters and cultural traditions of Pacific Rim cultures. Known for his calming and clean nature, his works are rapidly emerging as a favorite among contemporary collectors.
About Artist: Pierce Meehan (b. 1987) is an American artist based in Costa Mesa, California, whose work merges painting, sculpture, and minimalist design to form a distinct visual language. Influenced by the Pacific Rim's cultural and environmental elements, his art reflects a deep fascination with oceanic and agrarian themes. A Newport Beach native, Meehan debuted his renowned "Panel" series in 2014, incorporating colors, materials, and techniques from yacht and surf manufacturing. His work evokes both familiarity and innovation, striking a balance between contemporary sophistication and timeless aesthetics. Expanding his creative practice, he continues to explore large-scale installations, public art, and new mediums. In 2018, he co-founded Meehan Studios with his sister, artist Karlin Meehan, to provide affordable studio spaces for emerging artists in downtown Santa Ana, California.
