About Artwork: From the new series, Metapheric Landscapes. Exploring the dance and relationship between matter and spirit, graphic, interfaces, and sublime landscapes.
About Artist: Jeremy Kidd, born on April 1, 1962, is a British-born contemporary artist known for his work in painting, sculpture, installation art, and photography. While attending art school in the early 1980s, he was tasked with documenting a park walk through multiple photographs, which inspired his innovative approach to digital photography. Influenced by David Hockney's collages, Kidd began using Photoshop to merge and transform images, creating "Day through Night" works that combined multiple shots into seamless compositions. His first piece in this series, Desert to Palm (2004), drew inspiration from Sylvia Plath's poem Ariel and was featured in the group exhibition Crazy Thoughts Have Quick Wings at Cirrus Gallery. His unique photographic style has been showcased in solo exhibitions like Fictional Realities at Laguna Art Museum (2007) and Fahey Klein Gallery (2008) and Hyper Architectural Typologies at the California Museum of Photography (2008). In 1999, Kidd participated in the Orange County Museum Biennial, curated by Bruce Guenther, which highlighted ten artists exploring function and form. His work has gained recognition both in the United States and internationally, with exhibitions and collections in countries such as Great Britain, Germany, Australia, and Dubai. Jeremy Kidd's art continues to reach audiences globally, blending innovation with visual storytelling. He currently lives and works in Venice Beach, Los Angeles.
