This is a magnificent 410 Gage shotgun walking stick. In excellent condition, this piece has never even been fired. Has a screw on shoulder stock, and an extra screw to put in its place when it is not attached. The ferrule is also the cocking mechanism and shell extractor. A very similar stick can be found in the book "Cane Curiosa" by Catherine Dike. On pages 334-336 are examples of similar canes to this one. This stick measures 36 x 4 1/4 x 1. With the shoulder stock attached the length increases to 48". The collar is an inch and the ferrule is also an inch. When the ferrule is taken out completely it measures 6". Has the engraving No.420 and the numbers 30304 on the collar. The shaft is a stepped ebony. A rare and very interesting stick!
Each auction has different shipping terms but the buyer always pays.
