ca1860; serial no. 263; (o.l. 33"); 44 cal., steel construction with a Gutta Percha veneer, stamped "REMINGTON AND SONS/ 26", "J.P.THOMAS/ PATENT" and SN#263 on the metal tip, with a smooth hooked handle on top. The rear section of the cane pulls back to reveal a combination hold-open and notch sight and the percussion nipple. External firing button. BBL: 27 inch round, no front site and cross hatched button trigger
