Ca. 1940- A working example of a later French defensive cane, but not the original, by pulling the blonde horn handle razor blades extend from the shaft for a good back lashing to your worst enemy, this is one of the three French defensive canes that came to pass after Napoleon left office and were outlawed by the French government, beautiful horn handle with nice scalloped thumb rest, silver metal collar and horn ferrule.
