Personal cane of writer Jack London (author of 'The Call of the Wild' and other novels), bought from Rev. Dr. Donald Webb. The cane is accompanied by its photograph and written authentication on verso by Milo Shephard, London's grandnephew, which reads: 'This pictured walking stick belonged to Jack London. In late 1980s, I gave this to Dr. Donald Webb during one of his visit to the Jack London Ranch'. This stick possesses a dark wood knob handle measuring 3" high and 1 ¼" at its widest, below which on the shaft is a 6 ¾" long section of inlaid designs of varying colors. The remainder of the shaft is the same dark colored wood as the handle, ending with a 1 ¼" bimetal ferrule. O. L. is 34 3/8".
