Cane featuring Gorham Company's iconic Sterling Silver snake handle, pictured in Catherine Dike's 'Canes in the United States' where it is identified in Gorham archives at Brown University Library. The present handle bears Gorham hallmarks, a Sterling stamp, and the model number U205 above the incorporated silver collar. The L-shaped snake handle is 4" long and approximately 1 ½" high, and has green glass eyes and sculpted scales. It is attached to a dark brown malacca shaft, which ends with a 2 ¾" bimetal ferrule. O.L. is 31 ½".
