ca1880; cartridge - .410 bore/caliber; Dumonthier breech loading gun cane; Malacca shaft with L stag 4 1/2 x 2 1/2" horn handle; Dumonthier invented gun canes with patent for breech in 1876; A 100 years ago, companies copied Dumonthier's gun canes. They look like them, but their quality wasn't as good as the masters work. Dumonthier gun cane whose ring bears the inscription “B.S.G.D.G.”; cartridge chamber has a groove and a half-moon extractor; 5mm caliber with 31.5” barrel
