ca1900; (o.l. 33.75"); Manufacture Franchise L’armes et Cycles de Saint-Etienne (trade named Manufrance in 1911) 12 mm cane gun circa 1900 in overall very fine condition. 12mm center fired cartridge gun cane with painted stepped grained steel shaft, 29" barrel and original tampion ferrule with tweezers to cock trigger and remove cartridges. A very nice example of a concealable firearm patent type French cane gun often associated with poachers during the 19th century. Three sided blade is revealed when stock is pulled. Overall length of 33 3/4" excluding the detachable stock (original is missing) which was attached to the fitting in the center of the L-shaped handle by screwing the threads of the stock into the handle
