England; Bent shaft stock with breach loading on top of front, pump and key FINE CANE AIR RIFLE. NSN. 38 Cal. & 42 Cal. 22” rnd bbl. The black body of the cane contains a brass band that retains a rifled brass bbl. The tip has a brass cover attached to the loading rod, which fits inside the bbl until used for firing. It has a turned ivory pommel. It has a large sight at the rear end of the bbl or about the middle of the cane. Unscrewing the inner bbl discloses a 42 caliber smoothbore bbl that theoretically could be used also. A replica operating key accompanies the cane. When the trigger, two inches further forward on the case, is pressed, the air in the handle of the cane discharges the ball. CONDITION: Some minor chipping to the black finish of the body and natural cracks to the ivory pommel. Mechanism works but the seals have not been tested due to lack of a pump H.- 3 1/2" X 1"
