70. Gold Quartz Dress Cane- Dated 1855- A nice presentation gold dress cane with a large hexagonal quartz nugget atop, the presentation is to Theodor E. Schmidt. It was presented to him in 1855 and at the time he was the conductor of the San Francisco Harmonic. He is credited with other prominent citizens in founding and naming the town of Anaheim. Four panels of the handle are engraved with the presentation, dark malacca shaft and a metal ferrule. H.- 2” x 1 ½” O.L.- 34” $7000-$10,000.
