George Washington Folk-Art Cane – Ca. 1830 – A natural stag handle, inked and etched throughout the cane are carvings of George Washington, Native Americans, North Bend, various animals, etc. The twigspur doubles as carvings for snakes, foxes, goats, sheep, dogs, squirrels, and much more. “S. Ashley” is carved on the upper section of the cane. There is a 10 inch green snake of which a twigspur is carved for the head, original patina and a two inch handmade brass ferrule. The detail on this cane is very strong to the naked eye and would enhance any folk-art collection in the world. O.L. – 34 ¾” / $700-$1000
