Possibly 18th / 19th Century
The plaque with a bird perched on a blossoming prunus branch with iron red flowers below. Also with butterflies and insects, marked with an iron red artemisia leaf is and a seal mark with gold highlights, the hongmu stand with a base centered by the outline of a chinese coin, the feet in the form of the chinese symbol for money.
Dimensions of plaque: 8 in. x 10 in. Height including stand: 20 3/4 in., Width of stand: 17 1/2 in.
Provenance: The Delman Collection, Manhattan: Purchased in 1979 by Joseph and Lenore Delman from an Shanghai, China antique shop during one of their regular trips to China during which they purchased numerous scroll paintings and examples of Chinese porcelain.
Condition: Surface grime to front of plaque. Some light abrasions and scratches commensurate with age.
