George Ohr Biloxi 1899 Studio Art Pottery Brown Green Handled Spouted Vase Rare dual spouted and handled form in a speckled olive green and brown glaze. Shows very well with minor chip restoration to the rim. Bottom marked with G.E. OHR, Biloxi, Miss. 1899 and Susan Frakelton's as well. Vase is 2 1/2" tall and 6" wide at the handles. Known as the "Mad Potter of Biloxi," George Ohr's distinctive, hand-crafted pieces are becoming a newly found and appreciated craftsman style work. His pieces are typically recognized for their dramatic and manipulated forms and as he repeatedly stated, "No two alike."
