A display relating to actor Nick Adams including a Nick Adams signed cut sheet and a letter from director Mervyn Leroy regarding a party he had planned in honor of Adams. The typed letter, dated September 2, 1959, reads in part “Nick is starring in a new television series ‘The Rebel,’ and I believe sincerely that he is going to explode television sets all over the country and is going to make the same kind of impact that was made originally by the Brandos, the James Deans and the Sinatras.” Adams played Johnny Yuma in The Rebel (ABC, 1959-1961). Adams was a friend of James Dean's, whom he met on the set of Rebel Without a Cause (Warner Bros., 1955). He was also a friend of Elvis Presley. Adams died of a drug overdose in 1968. Posthumously, Adams' family published a book Adams had written about his friendship with Presley. Letter and cut sheet are housed in a frame with a black and white image of Adams in his Johnny Yuma costume.
