- Lot Description
A scarlet crepe gown circa 1940s worn by Madonna in her Golden Globe-winning role as Eva Peron in Evita (Cinergi Pictures, 1996). The slender-fitting gown is embellished with white rhinestones to the sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves. The skirt has a set-in waistband, front slit, and graduated hemline. A Palace Costumes label is present. Costume design by Penny Rose. The film was nominated for five Academy Awards and won one. Accompanied by a copy of the film and a certificate of authenticity signed by Melody Barnett of Palace Costume Company.
