- Lot Description
An ink and charcoal on onion paper political cartoon mounted on board, signed "Wortman." The cartoon shows two patrons toasting at a bar, with "Merry Xmas" and "The Season's Greetings to Gypsy" written by the artist. Denys Wortman is a cartoonist and comic strip creator known for his "Metropolitan Movies" strips from 1924 to 1954.
