ALEJANDRO SANTIAGO comienza su prolifera vida artistica en el Taller de Arte Rufino Tamayo, (dirigído por Roberto Donis) Luego ingresó por un corto tiempo a la Escuela de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Oaxaca y en 1963 emprende sus estudios en la Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas, a lado de Luis Nishizawa.
En 1985 presenta su primer exhibición individual en la Galería Sol y Luna la Fundación Rockefeller adquirió tres de sus obras. En 1989 viaja a Estados Unidos y en 1994 recibió la invitación de la Galerie Baudoin Lebon para exponer en Paris. Tras viajar varios años por Francia y Estados Unidos, regresó a la Ciudad de Oaxaca donde estableció su estudio y en un rancho cerca de Suchilquitongo desarrolló sus proyectos de escultura.
ALEJANDRO SANTIAGO logró fundamentar una de las carreras más sólidas del arte hecho desde Oaxaca. . A Europa llega su trabajo con la exposición colectiva Europalia 93, gracias a la cual ganó la atención de la Galerie Baudoin Lebon de París. En Oaxaca estableció su estudio en Suchilquitongo y fundó el Centro Cultural “La Telaraña”. Tras notar la disminución de la población en su lugar de origen a causa de la migración, desarrolló el proyecto escultórico “2501 Migrantes”. Su obra indaga sobre los vínculos entre el aspecto físico de la conciencia con aquello que nos identifica como seres humanos, explorando la condición ética del arte. Sus motivos son la reflexión sobre la vida, la muerte, el ser y el renacer a través de varios materiales y técnicas como el bronce, cerámica, gráfica, acuarela, óleo, entre otros.

COLLECTION, REMOVAL AND STORAGE
Following the Auction, Buyers must remove all Lots from the Auction site.
Buyers must provide their own packing materials and their own assistants for the removal of lots. If not removed timely by Buyer, in addition to any and all other remedies and rights JP AUCTIONS may have, JP AUCTIONS shall have the right to remove any Lot at Buyer’s sole risk and expense and store it, at Buyer’s expense, including removal, storage, transportation and handling expenses and costs and applicable taxes, at a third-party warehouse, and Buyer hereby grants JP AUCTIONS an irrevocable power of attorney to remove and store such Lots at Buyer’s expense.
EXPORT PERMITS
The Buyer is responsible for determining whether or not an export permit is required to export a Lot and for obtaining and paying the costs of any permits or licenses necessary to export any Lot from MEXICO or any other country where it is registered and/or import it into any other country, and for the payment of any import duty that may be levied by the country of import. JP AUCTIONS makes no representation or warranty of any kind with regard to whether or not any Lot can be exported or imported or the issuance of an export or import permit for any Lot.
