Late 19th century, Paris, the two-train movement with Japy Freres Medaille D'Honneur pastille, numbered ''3.6'' ''8326'' and ''69'', interior dial bezel stamped ''LF'' likely for Lerolle Freres and ''8326'', the flaming torch and foliate crest over a waisted rocaille case centering a hand-painted Sevres-style porcelain dial depicting a watermill in a river landscape, with Black Roman numeral hour markers, within a glazed bezel supported on the tails of dolphins flanking a male portrait head over a shaped porcelain plaque depicting a picnicking couple, raised on scrolling foliate feet, 19.625'' H x 11.875'' W x 5.75'' D, est: $800/1200 Provenance: Private Collection, Pasadena, CA
Overall good condition, with scattered scratches, rubbed wear and darkening to gilt bronze commensurate with age. An approximately .25’’ x .125’’ chip to glass. Scattered stable casting cracks throughout; the largest approximately 1.5’’ near verso left leg. Winds and runs. Moran’s does not guarantee working condition of clocks and watches.
