Circa 1900 (mark dating to 1896-1908), maker's marks of Faberge and workmaster mark ''I.P.'' for Julius Rappoport, St. Petersburg, further marked with left-facing 88 kokoshnik standard mark and French swan import mark, the pierced scrollwork handle with a central inset sapphire cabochon, issuing from a body of typical form with applied strapwork and coin-molded exterior, monogrammed to face ''EBJC'', 2.375'' H x 6.25'' W x 3.25'' D, 5.015 oz troy approximately, est: $5000/7000 Provenance: Private Collection, Laguna Beach, CA
Condition
Overall good condition, with general marks, scratches, wear and tarnishing commensurate with age. Likely lacking a finial to front pointed rim; some separation between molding edges. Minor shallow dings to edge of base; the largest approximately .25'' Dia. Two minute breaks to interior joints of pierced scrollwork handle. Monogrammed, as stated.
