Mid- to late 20th century, including two miniature Hopi pottery vessels, the first a miniature jar signed to base ''Nampeyo / Thomas / Polacca'' for Thomas Polacca (b. 1935), hand-painted to the shoulders with four kachina faces (1.5'' H x 1.125'' Dia.), the second a miniature olla signed to base for Fannie Nampeyo (1900-1987) with artist's corn device (2.5'' H x 3'' Dia.); also including a Santo Domingo Pueblo pot signed to base for Santana Melchor (1889-1978) (5'' H x 7.5'' Dia.), 3 pieces , est: $400/600 Provenance: Private Collection, Santa Barbara, CA
Overall good condition. Each with scattered scratches and scuffs commensurate with age. Larger Nampeyo pot with a nearly undetectable repair to base (approximately .25’’ Dia.); corresponding 1’’-wide area fluoresces under blacklight.
