Modern paperback covered with Japan. - Beautiful large format plate manuscript with an extensive selection of Japanese birds and five full-page watercolours of Japanese flora. Each bird or group of birds in the manuscript labeled in grass script. Here you can find Manchurians, buzzard, hawk, tits, passerine birds, wren, tits, finches, sparrows, nightingale, kingfisher, Japanese gulls, lapwing, etc. - A bit waterstained at margins. Very nice attractive manuscript with gouaches of Japanese birds.
