United States - Florida. - Second edition (first published in Lisbon in 1605) by Barcia Carballico y Zuniga, issued in conjunction with Barcia's own Ensayo cronologicco. - One of the early accounts of de Soto's expedition, which centered on Florida, but covered much of the American Southeast, and one of the three most important primary sources on the sixteenth century South and Texas. - De la Vega was the son of the Spanish conquistador Sebastian Garcias Lasso de la Vega y Vargas and Isabel Suarez Chimpu Ocllo, an Inca princess.
