(minimal fleckig). 1 v. 225 Exemplaren. - Breitrandiger Druck, gedruckt von Giovanni Mardersteig auf Fabriano Buetten. - "The Officina Bodoni edition of this tender medieval poem is preceded by an introductory essay by Benedetto Croce, the greatest Italian philosopher of the century and a well-known bibliophile. Towards the end he says: 'It would be quite wrong.to criticize this printing of Dante's short work: it is more beautiful, perhaps, than any previous edition, though there have been some very lavish ones. In this edition, quite properly, the reader susceptible to poetry is left alone with Dante.'." Schmoller 14. Ex Libris: Melchior Mittl, Calligrapher, Designer, Typographer.
