• Lot Description
  Braque, Georges Eurybie und Eros (aus: La Théogonie d`Hesiode). 1932. Radierung auf chamoisfarbenem Bütten. 36 x 29 cm (54 x 42 cm). Verso von fremder Hand mit Graphit beschriftet mit weiteren Werkangaben. Blatt unter Passepartout. - Altersbedingt am Rand leicht gebräunt, mit einzelnen Braunfleckchen (Motiv nicht betroffen), verso Spuren der vorherigen Montierung am Blattrand. Vallier, 21. Die Grafik war als 17. Blatt zu Braques Théogonie geplant, wurde aber nicht in die Serie aufgenommen. Etching on buff handmade paper. Inscribed by another hand with graphite on verso with further details of the work. Sheet under passepartout. - Slightly browned at margins due to age, with single brown spots (motif not affected), traces of previous mounting at verso margin. - Vallier, 21. The print was planned as the 17th sheet to Braque's Théogonie, but was not included in the series.
