deep emerald green font with panels and ribs pattern, No. 1 fine-line collar, supported in a gilded brass frame with simple scroll pattern and cast brass wall bracket with floral ornamentation. Fitted with a period set-up comprising an E. F. Jones No. 0 lip burner, thumbwheel marked "E. F. JONES PATENT MAY 4, 1858 / REISSUE JAN. 11 1859", with a Merrill's air director, marked "MERRILL'S PATENT. JUNE 14. 1859", and a lip chimney with a swirling rib pattern. Font possibly Dietz & Co. Font 3 1/2" H, 2 1/8" D base. Bracket 8" L. Third quarter 19th century.

Excellent condition, font with some very minute expected wear and a minute flake to ring, bracket with expected wear to finish and a repair to ring and arm terminal. Burner with some resoldering to underside at wick tube, chimney rims with normal minute flakes/roughness, as made.
