- Lot Description
colorless pyriform font with four groups of light rose and opal loops, brass stem and single-step marble base, No. 1 fine-line collar. Fitted with a period set-up comprising an E. F. Jones No. 0 lip burner, thumbwheel marked "E. F. JONES PATENT MAY 4, 1858 / REISSUE JAN. 11 1859", with a Merrill's air director, marked "MERRILL'S PATENT. JUNE 14. 1859", and an unusual colorless lip chimney with spiraling ribbed pattern. Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. 15" H to top of chimney, 7 3/8" H to top of collar, 3 1/2" SQ base. Third quarter 19th century.

Provenance: Collection of Pat and the late Bret Morey of Griswold, CT.
Excellent undamaged condition, marble base with expected minor wear. Burner undamaged but will not tighten, each chimney rim with normal flakes/roughness, probably as made.Condition
