Jones No. 1 lip burner, thumbwheel marked "E. F. JONES PATENT. MAY 4, 1858. / REISSUE. JAN 11 1859", with a Merrill's air director, marked "MERRILL'S PATENT. JUNE 14. 1859", brass 3" standard shade ring with coining to edge, ruby cased cut and engraved Oregon shade with roughened foliage band, and a cased deep ruby lip chimney with factory polishing to fitter. Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. 15" H to top of shade, 8 5/8" H to top of collar, 4" SQ base. Shade 5 1/2" H, 3" D fitter. Third quarter 19th century.

Outstanding condition, font with some minor high-point wear and overall scattered tiny bubbles, as made, marble with expected wear and roughness. Burner with light corrosion, shade fitter with a sizable bruise to interior and normal roughness, chimney fitter with normal flakes/roughness, as made.
