7.63 mm "Wartime Commercial" variant, probably an early example, serial number 283471, marked once to barrel/chamber and twice under hammer; grips and hammer marked 471, and intertwined "N S" mark to back of hammer, "U" under crown proof mark to top of slide pull and to left side of barrel/chamber, gothic "M" or "W" under crown to right side of barrel/chamber, "WAFFENFABRIK / MAUSER / OBERNDORF A/N" to top of barrel/chamber, and "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER / OBERNDORF A. NECKAR" to right face above grip. Together with wooden and leather holster/stock with serial number 664 to frame attachment, and leather marked "A. PH. HOFFMANN" arched over "BERLIN / 1916". First quarter 20th century. 5.5" barrel. Provenance: From a West Virginia private collection. NOTE: This item is subject to all FFL rules, regulations, & procedures. In-House Purchases: 1. FFL dealers must provide a valid copy of license and matching photo ID in order to take possession of the firearm on the day of auction. 2. Non-FFL buyers must pay a $27 fee per firearm to The Gun Range, LLC, and pick up their purchase at 4883 Early Rd, Mt Crawford, VA during normal business hours. Safety retains most of its bright blue surface. In working condition.
