transfer-printed in purple, comprising a T. J. & J. Mayer "Baronial Halls #01" pattern teacup and saucer and a dessert plate in the same period; a "Delhi" pattern twizzler; and four scallop-molded plates printed with botanical and geometric motifs. Various impressed and printed marks. Circa 1835 and later. 2 3/8" HOA, the plates 5 5/8" to 10 1/4" D. (UPDATED 4/6/2015)
Provenance: From the Dorothy R. Daniel estate, Arlington, VA.
Very good to moderate condition, one plate with a drill hole at 12 o'clock, and a crack at 4 o'clock and crazed glaze and staining; one other with wear and crazed glaze. Cup and saucer in good condition with some visible crazing.
