press-molded with plain rim, the shoulder decorated with a wide brown band to the outer edge and a thin brown line to the inner rim, the face painted with a long-tailed peafowl in blue, ocher, red and brown, perched on curling brown branches, surrounded by clusters of green-painted brushed bushy foliage. Unmarked. Circa 1800-1820. 9 5/8" D.

Very good condition, with two short hairlines to rim at 9 o'clock, and triangular cluster of dots on shoulder, residual signs of stacking wear.
