comprising a pair of New Hall (UPDATED 4/12/2015) dessert plates with elaborate molded and reticulated rims, the gilt edges over colorful flower sprays in reserves on the blue grounds, centering large rose blossoms and Canterbury bells, surrounded by extensive gilt anthemia and foliate motifs. Pattern number 2930 in red to underside. Sold together with an oval platter molded with scalloped and flower head rims, above a band of ribbons and scalloping in gold, the face painted in Meissen-style with a large and colorful bouquet surrounded by smaller sprigs. Unmarked. The platter attributed to Coalport. Circa 1825-1840. 9 1/2" D.
Provenance: Property of a Maryland private collector.
Good condition, light wear to gilding to the dessert plates, the platter lightly crazed.
