- Lot Description
ENGLISH SLIP-DECORATED EARTHENWARE / REDWARE CHARGER, manganese- and lead-glazed, shallow form with plain rim, interior with cross-hatch slip decoration. Late 18th century. 3" H, 15 1/8" D.
Provenance: From a New York City collection.Condition
Excellent condition, two shallow inner-rim chips, reverse with some surface exfoliations. UPDATED 11/14/14: Roughly six small (approximately 1/2") spots of restoration to interior glaze flakes below the rim.
