ruby to colorless globular-form, intricately detailed pattern with roughened highlights and alternating stylized windows and feather arches, scattered quatrefoils, stars, and swags. Embossed stamped brass foliage frame with matching pattern to top and bottom rim, triple scroll arms support original chains with ceiling mount. Fitted with a ten-panel colorless cylinder-form font, attached to a cast brass support with finial, No. 1 fine-line collar, and a cased ruby smoke shade. Probably Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. 27 3/4" HOA, globe 11" HOA, 5 1/2" top rim, 2 1/8" bottom rim. Circa 1850-1870.

Condition
Excellent condition, shade undamaged except for some very minute scattered wear, and overall scattered small bubbles including two cut through within pattern, as made, ceiling chain support plate with two drilled holes and a dent. Remaining components undamaged, smoke shade with several manufacturing imperfections including a potstone to rim edge and a minor broken bubble.
