white to starch blue pyriform font, brass stem and single-step marble base, No. 1 fine-line collar. Fitted with a period set-up comprising an E. F. Jones No. 1 lip burner, thumbwheel marked "JONES PAT. / JAN. 11 1856", (the 6 is a result of a reversed insertion for the numeral 9), brass 3 1/2" standard shade ring with coining to edge and corrugated cut-outs, a frosted and engraved Oregon-type shade with floral band pattern decoration and a folded-over plain rim, and a colorless lip chimney. Probably Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. 15 3/4" H to top of shade, 10" H to top of collar, 4" SQ base. Shade 5 1/4" H, 3 3/8" D fitter. Third quarter 19th century.

Condition
Outstanding condition, font with several minor manufacturing imperfections including a small spot of undissolved metal and a broken bubble to upper cuttings, otherwise undamaged, connector with some very faint splits and marble base with expected wear and roughness. Set-up undamaged.
