frosted and acid-etched colorless font with petal pattern, metal figural bell stem embossed "CENTENNIAL / PHILADA" / 1876" and reverse "OLD LIBERTY / BELL / PROCLAIM / 1776 / LIBERTY", supported by a hexagonal stepped metal base with later black paint, brass connector, No. 2 collar with shoulder plate and patent information to top of collar. Fitted with a period set-up comprising a No. 2 Novelty lip burner with shade ring, stylized bell-form shade with frosted finish, impressed "1776" and reverse "1876", each date with sprays of cut foliage decoration, and a colorless flattened lip chimney. 18 1/2" H to top of shade, 10 1/8" H to top of collar, 5 7/8" DOA base. Shade 6 7/8" H, 4" D fitter. Circa 1876.

Excellent condition, font undamaged, bell stem with some minute corrosion. Burner with some minor corrosion and lacking set-screw, shade fitter with normal minor flakes/roughness, as made, chimney fitter with minor flakes/roughness.
