comprising a nickel-plated "Burglar Proof House Safe" and a "Security Safe Deposit" in black-painted surface with gold-painted embellishment. "Burglar Proof House Safe" with manufacturer and patent information for "The J. & E. Stevens & Co. / Cromwell, Conn. / Pat'd Aug 17 1897" on base. J. & E. Stevens & Co. Late 19th/early 20th century. 4 3/4" and 5 7/8" H. Provenance: Property of a Virginia private collector.
Condition
Good condition overall with wear to surface on each. "Security Safe Deposit" example with areas of rust to front door.
