- Lot Description
A GROUP OF SIX LACQUER AND MOTHER OF PEARL PHOTO CASES, MID 19TH CENTURY. All of book form with gilt clasps and inlaid with mother-of-pearl accented with various floral motifs each containing a period image in tin type of ambrotype media. One double cased. Together with a carved and fluted tortoise shell case with inlaid silver scrolls and containing a daguerreotype portrait of a gentleman. The largest 3.75 inches x 3.5 inches (9.5x 8 cm).
