Measurement: ~11.5†x 14.75†This is an original gouache & acrylic on paper, in the manner/style of George Rodrigue. The art is hand-signed and is a wonderful Blue Dog painting. The art is professionally acid-free matted and nicely framed. George Rodrigue's Blue Dog series has become one of the most popular, sought after, collectible artwork in the last 35 years. The artist rose to fame initially working in the advertising arena. His popularity because of the Blue Dog series has become a phenomenon in the art world. Stamp(s) often appear on the verso of the artwork. His signed prints (serigraphs & silkscreens), depending on size and whether offset or limited-edition, are expensive. However, his original art is always in high-demand and very expensive. Everyone loves Rodrigue's Blue Dog series. Even the kids adore Blue Dog. When a Blue Dog does become available it's both collectible and artwork that the kids will love. Today, you're looking at a similar sized gouache & acrylic painting, one of a kind, very cool piece of fine art! Based on the auction platform's listing regulations, the art must be described as In the manner of/In the style of/or After, since the work was not professionally authenticated and no documentation accompanies the artwork. Unless purchased from the Rodrigue Gallery itself & receiving an Rodrigue Gallery COA, one cannot claim the artwork was painted by George Rodrigue himself, although many secondary market sales of Blue Dog artwork by George Rodrigue do occur. Although forensic authentication is an expensive process, consumers of Blue Dog artwork from the secondary market can contact an accredited appraisal organization, such as the ISA. Most consumers of secondary Blue Dog artwork love the images and simply enjoy the art.
