- Lot Description
B&B Italia "Richard" by Antonio Citterio Mid-Gray Leather 2 Piece Custom Sectional Sofa. This is perfect for an interior designer looking to add a column or coffee table between the two custom piece, which original cost was $16,000 in 2020. The longest section is approximately 100" in. with the seat height at 15" in. and a depth of 39" in. The second section is approximately 83" inches inches with the seat height at 15" in. and a depth of 43" in. The Richard seating system stands out for its balanced and contemporary design, evocative of classic atmospheres. Its modularity is reflected by the presence of several elements, all in two depths: one for more formal and contained solutions, and the other for larger, more informal compositions. The system’s extreme flexibility and the ease with which the different elements can be assembled together allows the living space to be interpreted in the most varied configurations, from formal to more relaxed, with seats, benches, ottomans and chaise longues. The wide range of covers, in fabric with matching tone-on-tone or contrasting textile profiles, or in leather with profiles in the same material, allows for even greater customisation, offering monochromatic or contrasting solutions. The frame is underscored at the base by a metal profile. Optional cushions in various sizes add to the overall comfort. Antonio Citterio was born in Meda (Milano) in 1950, and started his design office in 1972, graduating in architecture at the Politecnico di Milano in 1975. Between 1987 and 1996 he worked in association with Terry Dwan and, together, they designed buildings in Europe and Japan.
