A very important piece of Miami History. Painted Campaign Sign "Vote the Winning Team" for Joe Carollo and Miller Dawkins. The painting is titled "Slaves Walking". 16" in. H x 22" in. W. Framed 38" in. x 26" in. Purvis Young was an American artist from the Overtown neighborhood of Miami, Florida. Self-taught, Young’s work was often a blend painting/drawing with collaged elements utilizing everyday discarded found objects. This is a unique piece on a Miami Campaign Sign, which blends the elements of his art, politics, and hometown - MIAMI.
