Two Geoffrey Beene Ensembles, Spring 1988
Both of these ensembles have a large embroidered flower, which features in a line drawing available in Lot 64.
The second dress features in a detail photograph by Jack Deutsch on page 59 of the 1995 'Geoffrey Beene' book by Brenda Cullerton.
The yellow jacket features in a photo by Jack Deutsch on page 81 of the 2005 book 'Beene by Beene'.
The First: Black silk gazar dress ensemble with white sequin floral applique on center front bodice, wide straps, and center back button closure. The skirt is full and gathered into a wide waistband.

The Second: Yellow quilted cotton strapless dress with floral print, white sequined floral appliques, green gingham check faille skirt, and center back zipper closure. Jacket in yellow quilted cotton with floral print, center back panel in white quilted cotton with sequined floral applique, and center front button closure. Large sequin rose print on back of jacket.

Condition:The First:Overall condition is very good. A few popped stitches on left sideseam of top.
The Second:Overall condition is good with general soiling around hem of dress and across bodice.
