- Lot Description
Two Embroidered Silk Shawls, 1910-30s
newer than I had hoped. I decided to take only two of the shawls as other were in poor condition.
This lot contains two embroidered shawls.
THE FIRST
White silk embroidered with bright multi-hued silk thread and finished with a wide band of knotted fringe.
No label.
Approximate Measurements:
64" x 34" (not including fringe length)
THE SECOND
Black silk embroidered with black silk thread and finished with black silk fringe.
No label.
Approximate Measurements:
60" x 58" (not including fringe length)
Condition:THE FIRST The overall structure of the shawl is very good structurally with minor pulls in the embroidered flowers and small darkened spots on the silk, mostly along the edges. THE SECOND The overall condition is very good structurally with some light discolored spots throughout. Everything is sold 'As Is'. The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use. All other condition issues are stated above.
